    does the fz190 charged while powered off?

    i turned off my laptop, and plugged it in. the ac adapter light is green, but there are no lights on my laptop indicating it's charging.

    I don't own this particular model, but I'm pretty sure the battery is charging if it's not 100%

    Once the battery is full, the computer will not keep charging it. But if it's not full, then yes, the battery will get charged even when the computer is off. In fact. that's the best way to recharge ur battery as it's alot faster than charging it with the computer on.

    i understand that. but i do not see any LEDs flashing while its plugged in.

    I have also the same lappy and yeah, we have the same situation like no led lighting during charging while the the laptop is off. But as adinu said, it is charging when it is off.

    I have the FZ190 as well and I can also confirm it charges when the system is off or in sleep mode.

    The battery LED blinks when the notebook it turned off. It stops blinking when it's fully charged. BTW the battery in FZ drains like hell. After a full charge, when I powered it on, the charge dropped down to 93%.

    Sony makes cheapo batteries these days.

    The battery light blinks if it is charging while off, and stops blinking once its fully charged.

    And are after markey batteries even available for the fz?

    One sign on of the battery is charging if the battery light is blinking but if it's
    not blinking it mean that it's not charging.
