    does the vaio sr support 1000base ethernet?

    im asking this because i see many other 13inch notebooks supporting it but on the sony vaio sr website it only lists 10base t and 100base tx not 1000base...

    also what is the difference between 1000base and 100base ethernet

    100base = 100mbit.

    1000base = 1000mbit.

    Most networks will be backwards compatible, but I do find it super unusual that Sony wouldn't include such a simple thing!

    dang so the sony does not have the 1000base...dang that sucks....

    dang...but would there be any noticeable network lags?
