    Hi guys
    after flashing bios and installing 330m drivers im up for new challange
    I would like to install an eGPU on z1 to work it with Nvidia GT580 i have as a spare part because i updated my main pc to Radeon Rx480

    is it possible? because in updated bios with advanced menu i cant find primary grpu settings
    anyway to make this upgrade on z1? any help would be usefull

    have you done a search for external gpu here in the forums and especially those two threads? I don't have an external GPU but I thought there were people using one.

    I agree that the switching probably needs to be controlled by the BIOS. But I'm aware only of one graphics option having DYNAMIC, STATIC and AUTO switch for GPU.
    One of these might work, so if you already have the GPU should be worth trying?

    yes i already have the gt 580 and its pretty good gpu , i ordered
    PCIe PCI-E PCI Laptop External Independent Video Card Dock Express Card Mini PCI-E Version For V8.0 EXP GDC from the internet, and im waiting it to arrive to try to put my gpu on vaio z1 . ill put the details here when it arrives but i want to know how to controle it from the bios since there is no such an option for primary display gpu
