    error using restore cds

    Hi
    I have a Sony Vaio FW21L. In installed Windows 7 RTM MSDN version. I then tried to install all the drivers and sony software using the recovery cds but everytime it gets to 50% I get the error: vaio error 505 41 and the installer closes.

    Does anyone know how I can sort this?

    I managed to get most of the software and drivers installed now by extracting them from the CDs.

    Does anyone know how I can get the AV MODE, S1 and Fn buttons to work?
