    Hey,

my first posting here, so for the records: hello!
Now that it is done, my question:
I'm planning to buy a SZ650 in the states and want to exchange the keyboard to one with a german layout. I guess removing the original one would be easy, as I'll only have to push down these two little clamps hidden beneath the keys and the upper border. Can sbdy please confirm, that the cable attaching the keyboard to the mainboard is held by some sort of clamp (hope sony doesnt solder it?). The notebook should handle the new keyboard, although it has another layout?
Sorry for those "silly" questions, I just have to make sure bevor I buy it. Thx.

Yeps, it definitely should be able to handle it. But damn, pity you only came now...I'm also from Europen and have been on the lookout for a US keyboard for quite some time...Yet I placed an order for a complete US SZ6 notebook a few hours ago.

Do hang about here in case you'd like to get rid of your extra keyboard, I may still be quite interested :)
