I am looking to buy a Sony SZ tonight or tomorrow.

Is this SZ3xx true? What types of upgrades.

I dont want to order this now and see there is something else a week later.

You may find more details by using google. SZ3xx just have Merom in it and bigger Hdd. Experts say Core2 is more benificial to Desktop users, and for laptop only minor (5%).

So I take it this one will support 64 bit and Vista with all it's goodies once it comes out.

    2GB RAM 160GB HDD!

My only complaint is the go 7400 video card. Would be nice if they squeezed something faster in there but the SZ is already small as it is.

    Hi Webster,

    My sentiments exactly...
The Sony SZ, Dell M1210 and the Asus W7J are the only notebooks in the world to hit the "under 2kg" barrier yet still offer dedicated graphics cards.

Anything else would make the weight jump by about 400g. A lot of people argue that 400g is nothing much but that extra 20% of weight is going to kill me on business trips.

I ordered the 270P/C. They told there is a 30 day return policy (I would probably have to pay for shipping) and I could return the system within that 30 days if I wanted to upgrade to any SZ3xx that came up.

So atleast for a month I won't get outdated, but if it comes out in like 5 weeks I am going to be pissed.
