My FW510 has the factory installed Win 7 64 bit and ATI Radeon Mobility 4650 graphics. At home I connect an external monitor to the HDMI port via a DVI to HDMI adapter and use that monitor as the main display because it's bigger. Instead of a screen saver I have the display turn off which works fine.

But when I use the mouse or press a key to turn the displays on again only the laptop display wakes. The external monitor claims it's not receiving a signal. The ways I've found to wake the external monitor:
    - unplug/replug it
    - use Win-P to turn off/on extending the display and then Win-P again to extend
    - Ctrl-Alt-Del wakes the display and then Esc puts me back where I was. This is least painful of the options.

Any ideas on how to fix this issue so I don't have to through the above gyrations?
