I doubt it. Even with the latest desktop graphics card, FSX tops 30 to 40 fps with some details turn down. With entry level 3470, I doubt you can run FSX at playable frame rate, at least not with all details turned down and at very low resolution.

Say what? Did you compare the minimum requirements vs. the laptop's specs. The laptop is perfectly capable of playing the game at medium settings even.

Microsoft stated minimum system requirement is a joke. They always under estimate it in order to get more sales. I remember they stated that the minimum system requirement for Flight Simulator 2004 was an 8 MB card. What the hell  . There is no way that you can get FS 04 to run at decent frame rate with an 8MB card. And currently, there is no hardware that can play FSX with *smooth* frame rate at dense cities with all details at max.

Bottom line, 3470 is not for gaming. You have to turn down the details, play games at lower resolution or both in order to get playable frame rate. Try to play Crisis with it and you will be very disappointed.

not to forget you mention having solely 14gb of harddrive space free? Is it solid state? My addon scenery install was around 160gb + depending of addon ram consuming utilities like a FSInn, a weather engine and other radar monitoring apps, 4GB ram instead would become more useful.
