not sure if anyone has experience with any of these projects but it seems like a good cause and i always have at least two computers idling (we actually have 20 or so we could put it on at my office, but i will leave that for another day)

just wondering if there are any downsides. you can turn it off when on battery. but when i use it on ac my processor goes up to 60 %usage and the fan goes wild. probably just normal but i'm not sure i want my laptop running that hot and fast whenever i'm not using it. thoughts?
