this dose not happen for me if I keep the power cord to the laptop!
it happens if I remove as the 5% is about what it takes to fully load windows.

My FZ's battery drops to 93%. Sony standard batteries are pretty useless.

Recalibrate the battery with a full charge discharge cycle. Li-ons lose ~3% a day just sitting there.

what's the safest way to re-calibrate the battery using the full discharge cycle? let it stay on till it turns off?

if anybody's wondering mine becomes 92% after full charge and restart

i took my TZ in for service to see if sony could change the battery, sony held my computer for a week and didnt do a thing, they said its normal, i doubt this is normal, it should be at least 100% for 5 minutes. btw, this battery drop to 95% happens with windows xp which i am using now instead of vista. i doubt this is normal because i fully loaded windows and then pulled the power cord, and battery drops to 95%

It's seems to be common on many Sony's.
