Make sure the battery is fully seated.

Have you done any "tweaks"? Has it been like this since you got it?

My FZ340N had an issue with the battery. It worked great for about the first 2 weeks. There were no battery drain issues like I had read about and I thought I had a gem. Then out of no where, I would boot it up to find that it drained 20% overnight and one day an error message popped up and said the battery was not an official Sony battery or something to that effect and it would shut itself down. I reseated it and kept getting the message. Keep in mind, this is while it was running off of the AC adapter and the battery is the factory Sony battery that shipped with the laptop. I disabled the battery detector service and all is well now. Although, it does still suffer from overnight drain.

With your warranty, I would recommend you to have your battery replaced.
