sony uses sigmatel audio cards, correct? dell uses the same... yet dell's laptops can go up really loud! on my fz190 the headphone volume at max is sometimes barely enough for noisy situations...

has anyone tried updating audio drivers?

are there any 34 mm express card audio cards yet? i know creative has a 54 mm one but even that one is falsly advertised and is a rip off to buy.

Control Panel > Sound. Highlight "Speakers", click Properties, click Levels tab, adjust Sound Level.
