hello guys, do you guys have any annoying noises in your headphones when you use the fz190 headphone jack? or is it dead silent, perfect headphone jack?

i am an audio creator and my old inspiron 1520 had interference which is why i tossed it.

The store demo machine I tried had a fairly nice sounds coming from the headphone jack, better than MBP or ASUS, not to mention the dreadful 1520. However, as I didn't have that much time, the store being noisy and I only tried one machine, I cannot say for certain.

It sounds fine on my FZ190.

Try using a different headphone and see if that makes a difference?

I thought it was pretty nice for a laptop headphone jack, actually. Seeing they are advertising "sound reality" thing heavily, they may be using high-quality components around the headphone jack. But then, I don't actually own this. :p

like i mentioned in your other thread, I just plugged in some in ear headphones which block out quite a bit of outside sound and to answer your question - They sound great and I have no interference whatsoever. If you're worried about it, check it out at your nearest electronics place that stocks sony laptops and bring in a pair of headphones and a cd and check it out yourself. If they aren't freely available for you to see then you'll just have to take my word for it.

Surely, theres no difference between the FZ models in regards to sound. I own the FZ17G version.

To answer your question Duke2007 I can assure you that there is no headphone jack interference even when there is a CD in the drive and it is spinning, it is absolutely silent. So you have nothing to worry about.

I have my FZ190 in front of me right now, just plugged in my studio headphones. It's silent. Sounds great with music on too.

I find the sound to be great out of the headphone jack, but not so good out of the speakers. And the speaker volume is way too low for me.

To address your misgivings about the speakers Hartman I suggest you try turning up the volume of both the applications you use and the main volume control. I find the speakers can get reasonably loud this way.

Also to get better quality sound out of the speakers I suggest you try the SRS Sandbox software it is great.
