fz31s noisy??

I'm thinking of getting an FZ31s.

Problem is I know on the old FZ21s models that the fan was on constantly this made the laptop noisy.

May I ask how much the fan comes on the fz31s out of your experience guys.

 

Might I add I saw it in the shop today and the fan was on really loud.

Now I don't know whether that is from being on 24/7 or that being the usual case during general use.

 

The fan is constantly on but i dont think it is loud at all, i har all other ambience noises over the top of it. Mine is oced aswell, pretty much every other laptop ive used is louder than this.

Sorry to hijack your thread but since I see that Focca has a FZ31S and my question is dedicated to FZ31S only (not 38M, Z or E) I use it to ask a small question rather than opening a brand new thread for just this.

So, here I go :

Focca, can you tell me which kind of material is used for the layer above the keyboard (between the keyboard and the screen, where the media buttons are located). Does it have a metallic look or a plastic one ? I owned a FZ18E and a FZ11S and both have that nice (!) plastic finish. I really don't like the metallic look that is on the Z serie and I feared that, since the 11S a blueray burner, it would have that metallic look (which is different than the rest of the body) too.

Could you please confirm or post a quick shot of your FZ31S ?

Hi, yes the FZ31S has the brushed Aluminium Look fo "super Cooling Hyper performance mode!" lol. It does look much better imo!
