It uses the Intel GMA 950, so it's not meant to be a gaming machine. Intel has set up a compatibility chart, but take it with a grain of salt. Most games will be slideshows at anything over the bare minimum settings.

Black & White 1 & 2 play just fine. Both are cranked up to the highest settings and are hardly just "slide shows".

    Oblivion refuses to even install.

I bought my TZ170 to play games and check mail while on the road RV'ing. I would never use it as my main computer. Too under powered as are all Sony machines.

I bought my tz to watch movies, email, internet(mainly), download stuff, and use it at school to take notes and lug around campus all day. Playing games on it would be the last thing I would do, already have a mac pro with an ati radeon x1900 xt 512mb for gaming or my macbook pro 15" 2.4ghz santa rosa with an nvidia 8600m gt card for gaming as well.

I'll probably just play partypoker on the tz or play wizardry 8, but that's it.

I've got it playing Nfs:underground, unreal 2k4, portal, and thats all the ones I've had time to install. Theyre not bad at all. Don't expect the highest end graphics, but definitely not unplayable. Most games run at 30ish fps once you tweak the settings right.

Ive installed WC3 and im running a 945GMA Card on the TZ90, and it plays warcraft fine, so youll have no problem playing DOTA and half life 1 on it, as for condition zero? no chance

Oh its not that bad. I have Portal Running and I'm working on Bioshock as we speak. Its just finding that sweet spot of settings and playability.

I refuse to believe that Bioshock will run at an acceptable frame rate on the TZ.

There are a lot of older games that are still good today. A couple of my favorites, which have a good chance of running on the TZ, are Starcraft, Diablo II (only 800x600 though), Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and Half-Life.
