    hey i was on my friends FW and i went onto a hardware test website and according to it the specs were well above recommended for crysis so i was quite surprised. has anyone tried games such as crysis and call of duty 4 if so how do they run? thanks

    well i myself was thinking of getting one with a 2.4ghz centrino2 processor, 3gb ram, full hd screen, ati gpu, 320gb hardrive..

    ATI GPU is very non-descriptive. Give up a specific laptop model or more detailed specs.

    my bad its the fw-290 series with the ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3650 with 512MB vRAM

    Call of Duty 4 will run very well, medium - high settings at 60+ FPS.
    Crysis is IMO a bad benchmark since it doesn't run great on anything.
    But Crysis should play on medium settings in DX9 at a decent framerate as well.

    With that setup and the right drivers you should be looking at DX10 crysis all medium at 1280 x 800 with 30+.

    Crysis runs great on my 8400m GT Hep! :p(even better overclocked ;))
