I just bought this laptop just an hour ago and I love it.. however sometimes I come across some pictures on the web that is a lil bit blurry... is this just the cause of the wide screen? is there someway I can do something about it? I saw some solution for it for other notebooks like the Dell Inspiron 6000... if you guys have any solutions, I would really appreciate it.. THANK YOU!

i dont think the wide screen will do anything to the pictures
i dont see that happen on any of the widescreens i have if the resolution is set right at 1280 by 780 or whatever it is.

maybe ti's the web or u need to do some adjustments with some of the settings?

as for sims no idea really. i dont play games, when i noticed how bad the intergrated was i returned the sony right away, and got myself an acer 8104 instead

Weird, I posted a reply to this last night but it isn't here.

Try right clicking the desktop, Properties, Settings, Advanced, and check if the DPI is set to 120. If so, try 96.

That's the same thing I suggested. the USEHR registry entry refers to "Use High Resolution" @ 120 dpi. If the value is 1, it uses 120, if the value is 0, it uses 96.

lol really? sorry I didn't know that
Well.. I guess its just some pictures on the web cause I was looking at the same pictures online with my other computer and it looked blurry too... but thanks for the help though! maybe it's just certain pics and it will probably look even blurrier than it is since its in widescreen
