Yesterday i was just playing on Steam with a friend of mine a normal counter-strike when the fan started to make a lot of noise and after 2-5 min my notebook just blocked with a black screen and some horizontal white lines on it.I have no idea if someone experienced such problem with the VPC-Z13 model, could it be a hardware failure of the cpu/gpu?or just software issue?its not the first time that he done this so i'm beginning to thing that my Z has some factory problems maybe?:O

Ok but is this normal i use to play the same game with my ex notebook witch was a sz series without having any problem :( should i send him to service for that or it doesn't worth it?the z just disappointed me with this because is not a game that needs a lot of power or something and especially when i thing that with the sz i didn't have any problems in playing games beside that i didn't have any problem with the Z at all but this makes me think a little bit of the manufacturing quality of the new models :(
PS: could this be a problem of drivers?I use the original nvidia drivers from sony

sounds like dying GPU? Maybe try new drivers? are you using the stock or custom drivers? Have you downloaded any new software lately? Run a virus scan? Oh! while you're on your Vaio press your Assist Key to get into Vaio Care and under diagnostics, select Hardware, then select Video and it'll run a video test... maybe that'll tell you something (or not).

Maybe that is the problem? I humbly think it will be best for you to use the Nvidia/Intel GPU driver from Sony.

    Good luck. :)

Yes, i'm amazed your graphics still work after you updated the intel graphics drivers... just go back to the drivers from Sony and don't update the intel drivers anymore.
