I have the same prob. I just bought a Vaio SZ61 (T7500 (2.2), 2gb ram, 160gb HDD, nvidia 8400 grafic card) running on Vista and I installed PES6 and noticed the game was not responting to some of the commands. I then went to settings and tried to change some of the game keys but it didn't solve the problem.
The problem is the computer won't recognize once I press more than 3 keys at the same time (eg up and right keys to run diagonals and 'E' to run faster or 'D' to kick). the computer will only assume the 1st two keys pressed and ignore any other keys pressed since until I release one of those keys.
Is there a way to correct this? nizam did you solve your problem?
Thanks in advance for the help. -
I did an experience in note pad just to make sure it was not a problem with the specific application (PES6), so when I press UP+RIGHT arrows and press 'A' it will write 'a' in the note pad. same with 's' but it won't write 'D'
If I press DOWN+RIGHT it won't write'a, s, d, c (among others) but it will write 'z' 'x'. really weird!!
I've read in another forum that this might be due to an error building the keyboard matrix but I'm surprised Sony would have that on its expensive and highly acclaimed laptops. Specially since the problem seems to come from SZ3 series I would expect it to be corrected by now.
I also run windows in safe mode to see if it would be a driver or program conflict but the problem is still there.
Can it be a driver problem? does anyone know how to fix this. I would really appreciate your help guys!!
Thanks! -
Guys, I started a dedicated faulty keyboard thread. I suspect
there is some kind of keyboard problem. The issue arises under
specific circumstances and typing styles and speed. Thats why
we are hearing / reading sporadic comments every once in a while.
There could be a link to your keyboard issue but I am still seaching
for a way to truly test the keyboard for input commands. -
I don't know if this helps, but my desktop Microsoft keyboard has the same problem with W/D/etc. - if I hold W and D then try pressing E, it doesn't register. This is nothing new to computer keyboards, since it's a side-effect of how the internal matrix wiring works, according to what I've read.
However, you're issue with the arrow keys is certainly unusual - arrow keys are usually independent from the alphanumeric keys, and on my HP laptop and my desktop I can hold all arrow keys and type letters without problems. -
I've experienced a different kind of bug with my sz670. I think the sz series notebooks have some really messed up keyboard bugs.

and comment if this happens to you as well... We gotta build up a strong following and hopefully get these issues resolved with Sony. -
Driver or Hardware is whats seems to be the issue. People are leaning
more toward a software driver in vista, so perhaps if we are lucky
we might see an update soon.

I was stuck with this problem, but in the end I came up with 3 options!
At first, it's a keyboard structural problem, so don't expect to use arrows/qwe-asd on games with the existing computer.
I have VAIO VGN-FW21E.
1. The simplistic solution I received from an expert. Buy an external keyboard or gamepad. Or re-build your laptop.
2. The BEST solution:
After experimenting a while with my keyboard I noticed that this problem appears only between arrows and letters.
BUT NOT with letters and other letters.
SO, you can simply GO on the SETTINGS on PES and REPLACE ARROW KEYS with P (up) L (left) ;(down) ' (right)! Or everything else that looks like ARROW KEYS to you! Oh, and then play the game! NO PROBLEM!
3. Similar to the previous. This time REPLACE the QWE-ASD with F1F2F3-123 or anything fits you right! -
Then again, the Z isn't meant for gaming, and few others need to press a lot of keys simultaneously. So they cut some corners on features, presumably to save costs.
help!!!!!Please-Vaio keyboard problem
