this is my first post here... i've been lurking around for some time and found this board to be very resourceful.
anyways, i just purchased TZ270 and trying to do a dual boot with Vista/XP
i went through several helpful guides here and was able to get Vista with semi-clean installed from recovery option on my primary partition and clean XP on my seconday.
now, i went to sony's esupport site and downloaded all drivers/utils for WinXP downgrad ing (link here)
i was able to install all of them with not much hassle but i got one device in my device manager that i can't find a driver for. It shown as "Base System Device".
Can anyone point me to right direction with this issue?
i've tried searching through XP downgrade DVDs that came w the laptop but was unable to locate any useful drivers folder...
I also looking for options of installing additional Sony's tools on XP but this probably a subject for another thread.
my apologies if this is repost but it seems like search is down at this time.
thanks for reading

...going through TZ owner's thread (100+ pages) but can't find any specific info on installing clean XP and getting all devices to work -

I believe there's a page on Sony's US site where it explains the exact order to install all their drivers and apps to get everything working right. It's linked from somewhere here but I'm afraid I don't know the thread off-hand.
If you're in the US, Sony will ship you an XP downgrade disc free of charge (there's a coupon code on the page to waive the usual $10 shipping charge).
