i'm buying the tz2000 cto model. the weird pink color is obviously out. so that leaves the black and champagne gold. i've seen both in the store and they looked equally good. what are your thoughts?

Black as it matches the rest of the notebook and I wouldn't want the contrast of the gold lid to the rest of the black notebook, just my opinion. Also looks more classy and understated to me, the gold just sticks out too much for my taste.

A couple of photos of my TZ:
Both colors look nice. The champagne gold is a good choice if you want to be more showy with your TZ. It's a very eye-catching color, and it may attract attention, visually. If you want attention with your TZ, champagne gold is for you. You're guaranteed to receive compliments from passersby on how beautiful your champagne gold TZ is.
Normal black, however, makes the TZ modest. By choosing black, the TZ relies solely on its design to attract attention. Black may accentuate the physical build and quality of the TZ, as it does not add in a colorful, eye-catching element like the champagne gold color. Some may feel like black is a professional-looking color.
Personally, I chose normal black for my TZ150. Like what rahulnirmal said, I like how it makes the TZ have an understated beauty. It's not as showy as champagne gold, but it makes me appreciate the overall design of the TZ even more. -
The colour of a laptop is one of the most personal things. What is beautiful to one might be ugly to another. IMO the best colour for the premium black, but as you don't have it as an option I have to put my vote for the natural black. Is classy and you will never get bored of it. Maybe the champagne gold seems atractive at first but I thing you will regret afterwards.
What specs did you choose for your TZ? -
you all make a good point about the champagne gold. i'm not really looking for attention from strangers. more like...i'm dropping $1350 on a laptop and i want it to be visually pleasing to me. the champagne gold was visually appealing to me the first time i saw it, but as exetlaios points out, i might get bored of it.
specs are as follows:
1.2ghz proc
2gb ram
100gb hdd
vista business
on a different note, where can i get an extended warranty (preferrably with accidental)? i'd rather not buy directly from sony if at all possible., but would still like a sony warranty from someone reputable. i think i saw a 2yr @ provantage. anyone have experience or hear anything about them? i asked this question on a different thread, but didn't get any responses.
help me pick a color
