    help please!!! vaio z keyboard doesn't work !!!!!!!!!

    Hi after i disassemble my vaio z the enter key and the delete key doesn't work, however rest of the keys work. I even order a brand new keyboard from sony still have the same problem. Can any one please help me thanks.

    Sounds like maybe you damaged the connector on the mainboard. Have you inspected the connector?

    I'm assuming you have a 1st Gen Z. I'm not sure it can be fixed, but you might look at the mainboard adapter and see if any pins are bent or have become detached.

    If this is the problem, your only option is to replace the moboard.

    i already check the connector but looks like very thing is ok this is weird. rest of the keys work only the enter and delete key me off :(

    Did you ever find out what happened. I am in the same situation after I opened my laptop.

    did you lift the connector on shorter side? or longer side?

    if you did not used the shorter side to lift the connector, damage can be caused.
