    help to "prep" my fw series.

    so i hear alot of bloatware goes into these things and i was wondering what things i should get rid of, and the method prior to actually USING the notebook..

    could any of you help me? like i know what im going to INSTALL but the point of this thread is so that i know WHAT to uninstall and get rid of and how =)
    my fw should be coming in tomoro, so i just want a head start haha..thanks everyone!

    what? your post made no sense. im not CONSIDERING buy a fw. i have already. and im wondering how to get all that bloatware out of the system haha

    checkout windows startup inspector and CCleaner. pretty good tools for cleaning up your vaio.

    thanks!..but i was wondering if there are like the "usual" programs like windows one live..or stuff like that i should get rid of..ive gotten rid of alot already but it seems like SO much more..lol anything WITHOUT doing a clean reinstall? seems too much hassle

    use Ccleaner for that, it'll uninstall it and wipe the registry clean.

    As a paid product, I recommend Your Uninstaller! 2008 removes program files as well as many registry entries. Follow that up with CCleaner. I might just try to remove the bloat instead of bothering with a semiclean or clean install.
