Hi everybody. I have a vaio z11vn with Windows 8 64bit installed. Everything worked fine until today.
Without a reason the video card switch stopped working. No led is on And I can only go with the intel card.
I suppose this has to do with the firmware/driver that manages the switch.
Please help I need It asap

Keeps happening. Old drivers, I think.

Open device manager. You should see the nVidia adapter there. If it is disabled, re-enable it. If it says 'insufficient resources..' move the switch to the auto position, then reboot. Wait at the login screen until the drivers get loaded.

In devices I only See intel video card And vga compatible

I think that maybe the problem is related to sfep, because in either stamina or speed, nothing happens And both LEDs are off

Then your driver is not installed properly. This is sometimes because Windows Update thinks it has a better driver - It is wrong; it doesn't. Reinstall the proper driver. You might have trouble because the driver is older than what Windows Update installed. Changing both graphics adapters to the VGA compatible driver before installing the proper driver driver is recommended in such cases.
