I'm not expert enough by any account to do a clean install of Vista and I don't want to go back to xp and lose power mangement BUT I'd like to get rid of the AOL crap on the notebook. It doesn't show up in the uninstal list from the control panel. Can it just be deleted? Thanks in advance!

Search for a program called "CCleaner". It's an awesome program. If the AOL stuff still doesn't show up in CCleaner's uninstall list, then you'll have to manually delete the AOL folder and then do a registry cleanup with CCleaner. My FZ340 had the AOL bundled crap and I was able to uninstall it from Vista's add/remove list... not sure why it isn't showing up for you.
