hi i am in desperate need of some assistance. I bought a vaio vgn-tx90ps from ebay. it is japanese and i formatted it to put windows in english. Problem is I cant find any of the drivers. I have looked and tried drivers of other models that are suppose to be similar. No luck. i tried to download the dirvers from the japanese website, but they all say that since u dont have the original it cant update it. So i have no soundcard, no network card No wireless and no av mode. Sony is no help so lets not go there. Anyone help me out? any one have this model that can send me the dirvers>

You can get all the drivers with the US-equivalent model on esupport.sony.com. You will need the WISE unpacker to unpack the files to bypass system check. Google the software (it's free).

If this was the 1st gen TX series then I'd guess TX600 series or at most 2nd gen TX700 series (750, 760, 770, etc. should all have same drivers).

I hope the drivers pointed ot by outie helps you ahmerkhan...

The Japanese people are very protective of their market and do not like their products being sold anywhere other than the intended area.

They will not be the least bit helpful in your quest.

That's a shame because there are some really cool stuff which only appear in the country of the Sun.

Thank you all for all your help. I am having some trouble with wise setup unpacker. I downladed various versions, and tried it on different computers. But all that happens when i click on it to start teh software, it opens a dos screens and shuts that really quick before i can read anything.

You need to run the dos screen and run the WUN program from there. I think the correct command is wun filename(without exe) desired_extract_directory_name
