    hey guys got a question here

    sony vaio SZ650

    ive juz did a downgrade on my laptop to xp professional

    my question is how can i restore my system back to windows vista?

    i do still have the secondary partition where sony has set aside which contains the vista OS set up. thanks

    If it's the same as mine (AR51) you press one of the F keys when you see the VAIO logo at startup (F10 I think)

    Also in your program files under Sony look for Vaio recovery and it will guide you to reinstalling of Vista.

    If the OP did a downgrade to XP, I sort of doubt if the Vaio Recovery app would be on the hard drive!


    There are two ways. Hit F10 during boot up or boot from the first of the two Reecovery DVD's.

    Yes sure you will!!
    But I don't understand why did you downgrade to XP...
    I have a SZ650 too and never had any problem with vista, laptop works perfectly...
