This is kinda hard to say. It depends on what I need to do on my laptops. One get as much as 12 hours of use per day while another get as little as 1 hour of use per week! For the moment though, I find myself using my SZ a lot more than my Z...

It wakes up to do backups and check whether it should do a defrag every night, so it's hard to say.

Usually more than 12 hours a day (from about 12 pm to around 2 or 3 am) but rarely more than 24 hours. However, during the night it is on standby/sleep and I rarely actually turn it off. Sometimes, the laptop would be "on" (including sleep) for more than 2 weeks, even without restarting.

Mine is usually on 14-16 hours a day, so I voted for "all the time".

I leave my A290 on for 2-4 weeks at a time as I am *cough* "getting stuff" off the internet all the time.

The only problem I have is that I only have 5gb left on a 100gb drive and a total of 800mb left on 600gb total on two external drives.

    The perils of acquisitive behavior.

    Anyway,

I tend to pamper my FW190CTO and use it to play games and when I need a more portable laptop.

So, a few hours a day for a couple of days then fully off for days at a time.

BTW: games (older and the newest mid-level/graphics intesive) play great on it.
