    crucial and transcend are telling me that the max is 1024MB of DDR (although this is a sonoma lappy with the 915GM chipset and can use DDR2 sony stuck with DDR)

    but then they also say that this laptop does not have a dual channel memory controller, when reviews say that it has.

    intel list the chipset as being capable of addressing up to 2048MB of system memory

    so who is telling the truth?
