First, I'm very very disappointed with sony for not including installation discs with their product. I can't understand that....I've even seen fake hp's build somewhere in eastern europe that come with complete drivers discs...and sony...hmmm.

I got a SZ340, and I reinstalled xp, downloaded all the drivers and updates from their site, installed them...and now, the wireless works only when it likes to work, the battery...everytime i disconnect the power windows restarts and then starts working on battery and dispite having installed all the drivers on the site and updates also, I still got an unknown device on device manager!!!

Is there a sequence to follow when installing the drivers or sony just haven't published all the package???

    HELP PLEASE

It's odd that it didn't come with CD's or a whole set of them. Maybe you can acquire them from Sony, or some kind soul on the forum can ISO them up for you.

Yeah Sony doesn't include recovery CD's, you can purchase them for 25.00 though.

yeah...the idea of a kind soul that can ISO the recovery cd's is a good one...maybe I can try to post another request and hope and pray...who knows?

I know that the cd's cost 25.00 but I got the notebook as a gift, it was all packed and it's been an hour I'm trying to find the link to buy the cd's at sony website but with no success. I don't even know if you can purches them after buying the notebook...or maybe it's just me that is getting confused at that website....
....as far as I could see sony.co.uk is much more organized and they also got a very active forum there...hmmm..
