    disassemble your laptop and desolder the power led.

    seriously, there is no "software" way to shut off the power led.

    it is not good to cover or disconnect the power led, if your computer failed to shut down properly, you can see fried laptop in your vaio bag, because sony have thermal shutdown problem...
