    i cant believe it broken screen on tz!

    through severe stupidity on my sisters part there is now a large crack in my led screen on my tz50, does ANYONE know where a replacement led can be bought or at least a model no. to go on?

    good idea...doubt she'd fetch much! the ones on ebay, are they the genuine sony led's or compatible lcd's?

    the genuine TZ screen is not sony, it s toshiba i believe.

    Edit: not sure though, i might be confusing with tx screens

    Yes, the manufacturer is Toshiba Matsu****a. The TX screens should work with the TZ.

    as far as i know.... the screen on the tz looked much better than that on the tx?

    thats really funny cause that place is only about 20 miles from me. how do you plan on installing it though? not as simple as swaping out a hard drive.

    Man that sucks... I just thought about the tz I just ordered and if the screen were to break on it, it would just break my heart... =( at least you have an alternative to putting the tx screen on the tz~ My one question is that does the tx screens have that x-black like the tz's do? Because I was going to save some money and just buy a tx model but I opted for the newest and greatest tz, just because I've heard about its screen being so amazing.
