I upgraded my Vaio SZ260P (t7200), to windows 7, fresh install, along with Vista.

The problem I'm having is that I can't use my iPod (Nana 2G), since it doesn't get recognised by itunes, also it isn't under my computer, but is in the device and printer manager.
Under Vista it works just fine as it should.

I've tried reinstalling itunes, new drivers, and searched for a solution, haven't found it.
I'm thinking the register is messed up?
    Anyone else having this problem?

    Regards, Bart

Here is the trick - uninstall all of the following -
    Itunes
    Quicktime
    Apple software update
    Apple mobile device support
    Apple application
    reboot

Then reinstall a fresh download of itunes.

Tried, that numerous times, didn't solve it.
I started deleting devices in the device manager, and searched for new, finally I solved it.
