Every time I connect a Vodafone 3G USB dongle to my SonyVGN-Z890KB laptop; I've been hearing some interference on the speakers.

One way to not hear the interference is to mute the speakers, however this will also cause muting to be a problem when playing a video or audio file.

Does anyone know any other alternative solutions?

Laptop is: Sony Z (old series - November 2009)
USB dongle is: Vodafone Huawei Modem K3765 - 3G for UK

The only foreseeable way to get around that is to get a usb sound card, because the speaker wires apparently aren't EM shielded.
