    here is some research my assistant did:

    Sony Style - 160p is backordered until 5/1. The 180p is not available through them (only at retailers).

    Comp USA - 160p & 180p are backordered until at least 4/1 at the 5th Avenue store. 160p is available through their distributor and if shipped today will arrive in a week. Got the sales guy, Joe, to waive the shipping charge if ordered today. Cost is $2,499 180p - backordered till 4/15.

    J&R - 160p is backordered till at least 4/1. They are not carrying the 180p

    I wouldn't call it "lying".
    I'd call it "tentative"/"estimated"/"confussion"
    With such new model that sell like hot cakes, they probably don't really know when new supply will arrive.

    The SZ's are going to be backorder for longer then that. Sony has pulled them from the site to order. I have heard rumors from my distributor, but won't say till I know for sure.

    Im going for FE rather then SZ probably. But yeah SZ is not widely available now a days.
