Well it is running hot, AMD CPUs do run quite hotter than intel ones. If it starts going above 80 then you should start getting worried. How old is the laptop, could probably use a new coat of thermal paste. You could try opening it and cleaning it out, especially the fan and heat sink, as there will be dust stuck on the fan. Use a compressed air can or low powered suction tool.

Remember that the cooling solution is rated as 'degrees above ambient', so if the ambient temperature increases, as in summer, the laptop temperature will increase too. E.g. if the temperature at full load, with the fan running full blast, was 60 deg C in winter with the room temperature around 25 deg C, that was 35 deg C above ambient. In summer, with the room temperature at 35 deg C, the laptop will run at 70 deg C under the same load (actually, a little higher as thermal efficiencies come into play).

Like next4nextel said, don't worry about it until you start hitting the 90s. And even then, the laptop will simply shut down to protect itself - it won't go up in smoke (unless something else is drastically wrong, in which case all bets are off!).

The lower right portion of the laptop you are referring to is most likely the HDD. My laptop is the same way. :)

I found out that using a lightweight browser decreases my laptop temp I tried using IE and my temps becomes 50-55 any alternative browser aside from IE?

Well firefox is OK not as quick as it used to be back in the day, but there are tweaks for it, if you like the interface.
Also Google Chrome is a quick lightweight browser, and also Opera.

It 'll depend on your taste try all 3. There are others but these 3 mostly have good support with windows and extension compatibility.
    Cheers.

Well AMD CPUs do run hotter in my experience, Try running your pc in power saver mode and see if it makes a difference. You should also maybe open less windows or tabs in you browser all at once as it bogs down your pc (uses more ram and computing power). Also you can try in Vaio Control Center----> power management ------> power options to set your fan mode to one of the settings to improve performance.
