Can anyone with SZxx szxxx confirm the compatibility with the Kensington 120w AC/DC (N4tip) Power adapter?

Kensington is very broad and not specific about this compatiblity and it's voltage.

Also, is this adapter 110-120v (multivolt) capable?

Only N4 works for me ..

That's what is recommended in the Kensigton manual for the Sony Vaio S and SZ series (well at least in my manual)

I read somewhere that it only powers the SZ, not recharge.

I'd be interested to know how it is physically possible to power a laptop without recharging the battery ....

I am now thinking of buying this Kensington 120W power adapter. Checked out the Kensington online store. They suggest SmartTip number 27 for my Vaio SZ260P.

So what about tip number 4? I guess now I will have to buy this power adapter with the smart tip pack for Sony?

tip 4 will work just fine if you don't want to spend the extra money.
Also Kensington has a fabulous customer service.
Last week my tip 4 stopped working, I gave them a call all they asked for was my address and the lady I talked to immediately said they were going to send me a tip. Then I asked how much it would be to also get a tip for an Apple powerbook. She said she would include it in the package.
Two days later I received the replacement tip and the apple one !!

    so try that, just ask
