I have a SZ330 and the battery life only lasts maybe a little bit more than 2 hours. I just bought this after christmas so I haven't really fooled around with it to see how I can maximize the battery (I actually don't really know what to do in order to do so). I've read that the number of processes running can affect the battery life. At startup, I have 61 processes running. I'm not sure of which ones to turn off/get rid of altogether (I know the computer came with a bunch of useless programs, or whatever you call them). Although I've removed some of the more obvious programs I don't need, I'm not sure about some of the others.
I'm going to be travelling to LA, then to Australia and would like to be able to maybe watch a movie during the flight without completely draining the battery. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

Well I was just using the airplane as an example as to why I want the battery life to last longer

put it into stamina mode, put the brightness as low as you are comfortable with. turn off all the devices you're not gonna use. you. set it on vaio maximum battery, i get about 3 1/2hrs.

There's usually some good movies on the airplane.

Is Trusted Reviews exagerrating? One of the reasons I'm thinking about an SZ is because in addition to being 300 - 500grams lighter than the competition, the battery life is supposed to be way longer.
According to the Asus W7J review on here, you can get three hours on that. So the Vaio SZ only manages an extra 1/2 an hour!? -

yes I appreciate that, but roor is saying that in ultimate battery with all non-essentials turned off he only gets 3 1/2 hours... that to me is already a maximum battery life...
lengthen battery life of SZ330
