anyone used the lexar express cards (4, 8, 16GB), and noticed a increase in performance?

I have an 8G Lexar ExpressCard and use it in my SZ670N -- set it to 4G ReadyBoost cache. It seems to give the SZ more responsiveness -- I have 2G RAM with Vista and rarely see it "choking" like I've seen before with Vista. But I can't really pinpoint how much of an improvement this represents. The storage capability operates at USB speeds, same as my ProDuo card or an external USB HDD.

Does the card disappear completely into the express slot? I don't want it to be sticking out..
