    Hi guys,

    I am a linux/Fedora/RedHat Enterprise Linux user and a developer. I need to buy a proper linux compatible laptop. when i finding informations about notebooks via the web i found that sony laptops. Those are really nice. I loves that design also.

    Can somebody tell me what is the best notebook to buy from sony which is fully compatible with linux ?

    i would like to see you're ideas.

    What do you mean "fully compatible with Linux"? Any laptop should be able to run Linux with no problems - even my 7yr old desktop can run it.

    All recent sony laptops have been getting much praid from what I've heard, except the AR's, so it all depends what screen size you want. If you're after 13" then have a look at the VAIO SZ's, a 14" then have a look at the Vaio CR's and finally for a 15" laptop browse the VAIO FZ's.

    I've had good experiences with Ubuntu with both an SZ and a BX series. On both of them most everything was working right after the install. The only two things (minor ones in my case) were the camera and finger print reader were not functioning.
