I seem to be in a dilemma here..... I purchased my Vaio in mid 2007 and its a VGN-NR14OE yea its very plain model but its the very 1st Laptop I ever owned....its specs from what I can see are equipped with a 141 GB HDD....and

flash forward to now my Vaio has gone through 2 reboots and the HDD is starting to wear out.....I just got it back from its last reboot and now the HDD constantly stalls and freezes....I could tell its frozen cause of the dead activity ....also another red flag is the fact that the orange HDD light on the lower right of model also completely stops dead....indicating of course the drive is dead....after like 30 seconds everything starts again.....but often times it just dies and a Hard Reset is required :(

well now I decided its time for a new HDD...but from the looks of its not gonna be easy, cause this particular model has no easy to the access to it....

so is anyone familiar with this computer? how I would get to the HDD? and is it gonna void my warranty?

    thank you! :)
