    looking to clean install Windows 7 on my Vaio SA

    is there a thread out there specifically for this model? i've searched and saw a bunch of threads for other models.

    p.s. it's for SA not CA.

    Clean istall or factory restore? Clean install all you need is a Windows 7 install disk once you boot from the disk and just follow the screen instructions easy. Once istalled you may have to download drivers from Sony for devices that Win 7 dosn't recognize just check device manager after install.

    i want clean install. get rid of all those Sony programs that came with the laptop. i remember the thread i seen before has a long list of things to do after you install the windows, i guess they're for setting up drivers.

    You can use the guide that is posted in the SA/SB... Owner Thread on the first page. You just have to exchange some of the drivers mentioned as the SA has different hardware. But the overall procedure is the same. Also the order of installing stays the same.
