    Hi all,

A while ago there was a question about maximum memory TX will recognize.
I found 2GB chip at new egg for $109 and it comes with $20 mail in rebate.
Well, I just replaced in my TX770P 1BG with 2GB chip and in system properties shows 2GB total memory. In system information I have: Total Physical Memory 2.5Gb and Available Physical Memory 1.5GB.

So the Tx 770p only accept 1.5gb of ram?

I think it depends on usage. I just checked again and it showed 1.380 available.

    I didn't make this clear.
Go to: Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information

In that case, your system is recognising the 2.5 GB and you have 1.5 GB of free RAM.

    isn't this surprising?
I was under impression 1.5 is the MAX.
Now I just got to clean up my lappy and get the idea of getting new one out of my head for a day or two.

Does it have 512 on-board? If that's the case, then I assume the "1.5 GB Max" statement was only made because there were no 2 GB sticks on the market at that time.
