This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    memory upgrade (and where is the search function)?

    Is there not a search function for these forums? I looked everywhere and couldn't find it. I see a Search box at the very top, but it searches the entire site, not just the forums, and wasn't much help.


    I'm looking at purchasing an FW with only 2g of RAM and upgrading it myself cheaper than I can do buying it from Sony. The RAM from Sony is DDR2-800 PC2-6400. Anyone have any recommendations for where to buy a couple 4g modules (2x4, 8g total)? Everywhere I look is out of stock.
