    is there any shortcut key to turn the lcd screen off ?
    i am using the s series

    Oh, i assumed that is what you wanted to do...

    if you just want to turn the screen off, i don't think that's possible, but you can go into the power management section of "Control Panel" and tell Windows to turn off the screen after such-and-such time
