    Hi All,

I've had this laptop for 3 years now and the temperature gets to 95°C in 20 mins.

Sometimes it shutdown when it gets to 97°C.

What can I do? I'm not an expert in opening a Laptop to clean the vent. What else can I do?

    Thanks

maybe send it to notebook service shop to re-apply the thermal paste for cpu and gpu component besides cleaning up the vent holes with low power vacuum cleaner.

Go get some Arctic Silver 5 from any local computer store.

Unscrew 4 screws at the bottom that leads to the fan.

Unscrew 2 more that mounts the headsink on the CPU and remove the entire headsink + headpipes.

Remove the thermal paste with a Q tip + rubbing alcohol.

Apply the new Arctic Silver thermal paste and spread it out evenly. Apply around "1 grain of rice" on top of the CPU.

Screw everything back together and monitor your temp for a day and see if you notice any difference.
