I had big issues with the VCC2 cam on my SZ3VWP/X.
    I'm running vista.

Tried using the drivers provided on Sony website. Followed all information I could find anywhere here on the forum

Then, yesteday, I googled "vista driver VGN-CC2" and found a Rioch WinXP/Vista driver installation directly. Poof, cam works perfect.

Try google "vista driver ~~~" and run that installation file. Could solve all issues.

I had a hell of a time finding ALL the drivers for my Sony SZ series when I installed XP. Well, I know that these drivers will work with a lot of models, these are ALL the working drivers in a self extracting .exe!! This is countless hours of searching, so don't relive my experience. I uploaded these to the following. You may have to register to download, but it's worth it. Hope this helps.

    IT WORKED!!!!
I have WinXP on a SZ491N with the VCC5 camera; I downloaded the file and used the force update (WHQL unsigned drivers) and it worked! if you let windows XP search for "updated" files it will ignore them because these are unsigned drivers.
    Thank you for your help

    Hi all,
I'm trying for long time to install windows xp on my sony VAIO SZ-430N/B.
I've tried to install VGN-SZ360P/C drivers, but the drivers' install application doesn't let me finish installation process. I mean, when I try to install any of those drivers/software there is kind of system verification that doesn't let me install them (probably to protect end users from installing the wrong driver or update on the wrong machine).

Therefore, I've tried to extract those drivers following the steps described on the following link:
    http://www.myplc.com/sony/i6comp_howto.htm

However, It seems that VGN-SZ360P/C AND vng-sz430N/B drivers are packed using a different way (instead of Install Shield Wizard as described on the link above) as I couldn't extract the drivers' cab files from its executable.

Please, Does someone know how I can extract those drivers' files?
I've tried installing the VGNSZ360PC and VNGSZ430N/B's windows XP drivers and applications, but I wasn't able to finish the installation process as It because of the system verification step...
Is there any way to by pass the system verification step??extract the drivers??or force install them?
Is the following link a official Sony's ftp site??? ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com/PUB/VAIO/
Does that ftp link include official Sony drivers??
How were you able to extract the Camera drivers from its install application??

I appreciate any help you can give me,
    Thanks in advance,
    Roger

Same here on an SZ460. I got everything working except for the camera. Part of the problem is that it doesn't give me a choice to choose Bt Port 10 when installing the camera.

Anyone know how to solve the problem?

I am also unable to pick a port to install this driver ;(

I have a VGN-FE865E any idea what i need to do in order to correct this issue?

I'm think it's do to the fact i may have installed the incorrect chipset?

I have been able to get every thing but the camera to work after the down grade to XP from VISTA

    Thanks

    -Maze
