I just bought Sony vaio sr series and i'm not sure weather the VGA is good enought compare to Gforce of ATI. My SR's VGA is Processor : Mobile IntelĀ® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD with IntelĀ® Clear Video Technology Total Available Graphics Memory of 1340MB (max.)10.
Is it good enough to play some games on it?
    Thank in Advance.

It should be better than the old intel x3100 but I don't think it will beat ATI. Neither ATI nor Intel in SR will be able to play new games really well.

None of ATI's or Nvidia's low end mobile graphics cards will play new games smoothly at high settings, but the dedicated graphics cards should be able to run the games at decent frame rates if you tune down the game graphics settings.

Your Intel integrated graphics card would probably not be able to even open up new games like COD4 or Assassin's Creed. You would probably just get an error window or a black screen before the game close itself.

BTW, the max Total Available Graphics Memory of 1340 MB is achieved only when you have 4 GB of RAM in your laptop.

Your graphics card should be sufficient to play older games like HALO 1, and maybe COD 1 and Fable.

Just look at the bright side, you would loss close to 1 hour of battery life if you have the SR with the ATI card.
