    Hello,

I am living in Europe. I will come to USA for an exhibition this month and i want to buy a new Vaio Z in USA. I am using a Thinkpad T61 now, i want to have a smaller, lighter business class computer and i think new Z is the best option now. Since i am not living in USA, i need some help to get a good deal for my purchase. I have a few questions:

1- On official Sony site the configurations start with 1900 USD. But i saw that on certain sites you can find better prices for basic configurations. I am looking for this kind of deal, namely a price between 1600-1800 USD. Which companies should i try? Are the best deals on online stores or may i find similar prices also on computer stores?

2- I am a business user, so basic configuration is enough for me. But i would like to have the FHD (1920x1080) screen option on my computer, because all the time i am working with multiple files on my computer and screen real estate is important for me. Is it possible to find any Sony Z with FHD option under 1900USD? I can find some basic configurations with 1600x900 screen around 1700 USD on internet. Since FHD is a +100 USD option, theoretically it should be possible to find some models with FHD screen around 1800 USD. But practically i couldn't find this kind of deal on internet, because FHD screen looks available only on very high end models. Any ideas about this problem?

3- Is there any performance difference between models with samsung ssd and toshiba ssd?

4- Do you think is it reasonable to pay 300 USD difference for 256GB SSD instead of 128 GB?

Thanks in advance for your valuable answers!

    2. Definitely not, unless you go CTO.
Ready made models with FHD=way above 2000 dollars.
