    Hello Everybody,
Please help and sorry for my English.

I have a VGN-Z21MRN and have a next problem with it.
Its native resolution is 1600x900 but it is too small for reading text for my girlfriend. I have tried to lower it and discovered that the next resolution is 1280x768.
So I have adjusted font size to 120 DPI. After this, I can not use a lot of my software because there is a mess with interface and fonts inside.
There were a lot of resolutions after fresh Vista installation but they all missed after drivers installation.
On the second video card situation is the same, only 4 available resolutions (1600x900, 1280x768, 1024x768, 800x600)

    SYSTEM: Vista 32bit
1st video: Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset
2nd video: NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS

Is it possible to change resolution to 1366x768 with normal text DPI (96)?
    Thank you!

In Nvidia graphics settings, there should be a tab to add Custom Resolutions. That should be where you can add the 1366x768 resolution.

It should definitely be possible, but it may take some playing around to get it working.

    Hello, thanks for reply!

Unfortunately, there is no such option or tab in the NVIDIA control panel. :(

I have tried to install new NVIDIA drivers but it said that “setup program could not locate any drivers that compatible with your hardware”. Its look like NVIDIA has special drivers for Sony to enable switching between adapters.

I have found in internet the same problem with ATI video cards and guys try to install special patched drivers to add 1366x768 resolution. But I can’t find any info regarding NVIDIA.

Intel drivers are newest and have only four resolutions too. :( :(

I have tried 3 different versions of Powerstrip and situation is next.
I have run this program as administrator.

With Intel graphic card “Advanced options” button is unavailable (grey).

With NVIDIA – button is available but after adding custom resolution or choosing any of numerous resolutions inside nothing changed.
Program said that new resolution is added but it is not appeared in available resolutions in Powerstrip. Powerstrip also asked to restart PC but nothing changed after restart too.
I have thought that maybe I do something wrong but I have checked all what I do with guide.
Something blocks any changes to available resolutions. :(

Have you changed the text size in Windows yet? It might give a little more help.

    Start > Control Panel > Display > Larger 150%

    I have Vista.
And in Control Panel – Personalization I can change font DPI. But if I do it larger even for 25 percent text in a lot of software goes out of the visible areas. In some cases buttons are larger, so no normal interface. :(

That is the main problem and that’s why I want just to change resolution.
1366x768 is definitely OK but system does not allow to do it. :(
